How it works

Think it through before you send it or say it.

Bring the moment as it is. TruthWise helps you sort it out. You decide what to use.

1

Bring the situation

Describe the moment in your own words. Change the details or use a made-up example if you like.

2

Pick the kind of help

Polish a message, check what a text means, prepare a hard talk, name a feeling, or rehearse.

3

Review and decide

Read the suggestions, edit anything, and make the final choice. TruthWise never sends a message for you.

Your coaches

One for every kind of conversation.

Five coaches of their own, plus Alex, the practice partner.

Fictional characters. The coaches are fictional characters created by the TruthWise team. Their names, stories, schools and teams are made up. They are AI, not real people, and they are not a substitute for a therapist or professional help.

Get to know them

Six coaches, six very different stories.

Albert, polish it coach

29
From
Boston, Massachusetts
School
Boston College, history and communications
Favorite team
Boston Celtics
Favorite food
New England clam chowder in a bread bowl
Hobbies
Chess in the park, restoring old lamps, reading biographies

A funny story. Albert once drafted a text to his landlord, then three revisions, then a flowchart. His roommate asked if he was filing a lawsuit. It was about a parking spot. He sent version two, got a thumbs up in four seconds, and still keeps the flowchart framed.

James, truthcheck coach

31
From
Seattle, Washington
School
University of Washington, statistics
Favorite team

Hobbies
Mechanical keyboards, hiking with a spreadsheet of trails, board game night

A funny story. A friend texted James one word: "fine." He built a chart of every time she had ever said it. The chart said she meant it most of the time. He called anyway. It was about a birthday, and she asked why he sounded so worried. He deleted the chart, but not the data.

A funny story. Jeff told his best friend, "I will say this plainly: your fantasy draft was a crime." Then he spent twenty minutes explaining that he meant it kindly. The friend printed the sentence and taped it to the fridge. Jeff is now the league commissioner as a form of probation.

A funny story. Damon made a playlist called "Feelings, Day 1" to help him find the words. By Day 9 it was called "Okay, Real Talk." His sister says it is the first time he has ever sent her a track list with an apology at the end.

A funny story. Alex plays the person on the other side of the hard talk, and she is a little too good at it. A friend asked her to help him practice asking for a fair rent split. She said, "Let me think about it," and went to make tea. He got the fair split on the real try the next day. She says nobody has ever beaten her at pausing.
