Summary of what's new: TruthWise is now available on the Apple App Store (iPhone, since October 30, 2026) and Google Play. We added (1) an optional spoken AI voice for replies, (2) optional voice input, (3) an optional "How do you want to be addressed" setting and a one-time age check, (4) subscription and free-trial details, and (5) the names of the AI companies that help us. The AI voice is a computer-generated voice, not a person.

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the TruthWise mobile apps for iPhone (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play), the website at www.mytruthwise.com, and related services (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Clear Voice Communications LLC ("TruthWise," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, creating a profile, signing in, purchasing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may ask you to acknowledge these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and to give separate permission for particular features before you can use them. These separate permissions include AI-assisted features, AI voice and voice input, and sharing optional sensitive information. Accepting these Terms does not give those separate permissions. You can say no to a separate permission and still use the parts of the Service that do not need it. We keep a record of the date, time, and legal-version number of each acknowledgement and permission, on your device and, if you have an account, on our servers.

Apple and Google. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play (each a "Store"), these Terms are between you and TruthWise only, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service or its content, and have no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Your use of the app must also follow the applicable Store's terms. If you got the app from the Apple App Store, Section 19 (Apple App Store Terms) also applies.

Translations. We may offer these Terms in Spanish or other languages for convenience. If there is any conflict between a translation and the English version, the English version controls.

2. Eligibility: Adults Only (18+)

TruthWise is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. When you start, we ask you to confirm your age. We use your answer only to check that you are 18 or older.

If you tell us you are under 18, or we learn that you are, you cannot use TruthWise. We will stop the sign-up, not save the age you entered, and delete any other information we collected from you in the process. Entering a false age to get around the check violates these Terms. We may also receive an age category or parental-consent status from Apple or Google. We use that only to enforce our age rules, follow the law, and set safe defaults, and we do not share it or use it for anything else.

If we learn, or reasonably believe, that a person under 18 has used the Service, we may suspend access, end the account, and delete associated information.

3. TruthWise Is Not Emergency, Medical, Therapy, Legal, or Crisis Care

TruthWise is a communication tool. It is not a substitute for a doctor, therapist, counselor, lawyer, or emergency service, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition.

TruthWise's AI personas are not people. The characters, coaches, and voices in TruthWise are AI personas. They are computer programs, not humans, and they are not licensed therapists, counselors, doctors, or other professionals. Talking with them is not therapy, counseling, or medical care.

If you are in crisis or thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (United States), or chat at 988lifeline.org. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911.

The Service may show a safety pause or suggest additional support based on what you submit. If your words suggest you may be in crisis, TruthWise may stop a spoken reply and show written crisis information, including 988, instead. These features can miss things. Do not rely on them.

Audio and voice are not emergency tools. The AI voice cannot call for help, cannot tell anyone where you are, and cannot tell from how you sound whether you are in danger.

4. AI-Assisted Features

Your permission. Before using AI-assisted features, you must give the permission requested in the Service for TruthWise to send the text you submit (and, if you use voice input, your spoken words as audio or text) to our contracted third-party AI service providers so the Service can generate suggestions, spoken replies, and safety-related responses. We list these providers in our Privacy Policy. If you do not give that permission, do not use AI-assisted features.

How the features work. When you type or speak to an AI-assisted feature, TruthWise sends that text or audio to its service infrastructure and to contracted third-party AI service providers to create a response. All replies are produced by AI. They can be wrong, incomplete, or inappropriate for your situation. Think them over and decide for yourself before acting.

4A. AI Voice (spoken replies)

Optional. Some features can read replies out loud using an AI-generated voice. Spoken replies are optional. You can turn them off at any time in Settings. Every spoken reply is also shown as text.
The voice is not a person. It is computer-generated. It is not a human, friend, therapist, counselor, doctor, lawyer, or other professional, and it has no feelings. TruthWise tells you this on screen and out loud when you start a spoken session, again at least every three hours of continued use, and whenever you ask.
No real voices. The voices are synthetic voices provided by our third-party voice provider. They are not cloned from any real person, and you may not create or upload a voice to imitate a real person.

4B. Voice Input (speaking to TruthWise)

Optional. You can speak instead of typing if you give microphone permission on your device and our separate voice permission in the app. The app listens only while you use the microphone button. You can turn voice input off in Settings or your device settings.
What happens to your voice. Your audio is sent to our third-party speech provider to turn it into text. The text is handled like anything else you type.
No voiceprints. We do not create a voiceprint of you, use your voice to identify you, or use your voice to guess your age, sex, gender, mood, or health.
Accuracy. Speech-to-text can make mistakes. Check the text before sending it where the app lets you.
Other people's voices. Only record your own voice. Do not record another person without their permission.

4C. Safe Use of Audio

Do not use voice features while driving, cycling, operating machinery, or whenever you need to pay attention to your surroundings. Use headphones or a private place if others should not hear your replies.

Your responsibility. Do not type or say passwords, payment-card information, government identifiers, private health records, another person's confidential information, or other highly sensitive information that you do not want processed to provide the Service.

5. Profiles, Sign-In, and Account Security

You are responsible for activity under your profile and for keeping your device and sign-in method secure.

TruthWise may let you provide optional profile information, such as a first name, an age range, relationship basics, and "How do you want to be addressed" (for example, he/him, she/her, they/them, or "Prefer not to say"). This setting is optional; if you skip it or choose "Prefer not to say," the Service works the same way with neutral wording. We use it only to choose how replies address you. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to infer your sex. You can change or delete it at any time in Settings.

You may also choose to tell us about your cultural or religious beliefs so suggestions can respect them. This is optional, requires your separate permission, and can be deleted at any time.

Age confirmation is required to use the Service (Section 2). Please give accurate information, but you never have to share anything optional.

6. Journal Mode, App Lock, and Device Security

Journal Mode is designed to keep your entries on your device and give you control over them. If you choose an AI option for an entry, that entry is sent for processing as described in Section 4. App Lock and your PIN help protect the app on your device, but you are responsible for your device's security.

7. Subscriptions, Free Trial, and Billing

Plans. TruthWise Premium is offered at $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year (U.S. prices; taxes may apply; prices may vary by country or Store).
Free trial. Eligible new subscribers get a 3-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription automatically starts and you are charged the plan price through your Store account.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
How to cancel. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. Cancel in your Apple ID Settings > Subscriptions on iPhone, or in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions on Android. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel your subscription.
In-app purchases. Subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are billed by Apple through your Apple Account; subscriptions bought in the Android app are billed by Google through Google Play. The Store's purchase terms apply to the payment.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by the Store under its policies. We cannot issue refunds for Store purchases.
What's included and limits. We may change AI models, features, or limits as described in Section 13; if a change materially reduces what your plan includes, we will tell you before your next renewal.
Price changes. We will give advance notice of a price change as required by the Store and the law.

8. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to break the law; harass, threaten, or harm anyone; submit content you have no right to share; try to access systems or data without permission; reverse engineer or overload the Service; or misuse safety features. You also may not:

record, or try to record, another person without their permission, or use voice input to capture other people's voices;
use voice features to imitate, impersonate, or clone the voice of any real person, or create content that appears to come from a real person; or
use voice features while driving or in any situation where doing so is unsafe.

9. Your Content and Feedback

You retain any rights you have in text, spoken audio, entries, prompts, feedback, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant TruthWise a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide right to host, transmit, process, reproduce, and use Your Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the Service, in line with the Privacy Policy and applicable law. We do not use your spoken audio to train AI models, and our AI voice and speech providers may not use it for their own purposes.

If you send feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

10. Intellectual Property and Trademarks

The Service, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to TruthWise and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.

Except for that limited license and rights you retain in Your Content, no rights are granted to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, license, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law or in writing by TruthWise.

Trademarks. TRUTHWISE™, the TruthWise logo, and the tagline "Your Truth. Delivered Wisely.™" are trademarks of Clear Voice Communications LLC. These are unregistered (common-law) trademarks; we use the ™ symbol and do not claim federal registration. You may not use them without our written permission. Apple, the Apple logo, iPhone, and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Google Play is a trademark of Google LLC. Other names belong to their owners.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties for app stores and billing (Apple, Google), sign-in, cloud and service infrastructure, email delivery, and AI processing. They act as service providers to run TruthWise for you. The Privacy Policy explains what each receives. Third-party services are governed by their own terms.

12. Casey (Website Assistant)

The TruthWise website may include an AI chat helper called Casey. Casey is an AI system, not a person. Casey can answer questions about TruthWise and general questions that are not about your personal situation. Casey cannot give relationship, medical, legal, or financial advice, cannot make decisions or promises for TruthWise (such as refunds, exceptions, or account changes), and can be wrong. For anything that needs a person, write to support@mytruthwise.com.

Do not type passwords, payment details, or other personal or sensitive information into the chat. The chat is limited to a small number of messages per person per day, and it may be unavailable or changed at any time. What you type is processed as described in the Privacy Policy. Casey is not an emergency service: if you may be in danger, call your local emergency number.

13. Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, including a feature, sign-in option, AI provider configuration, or subscription offering.

We may update these Terms. If we make a material change, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless a change is needed sooner for safety or legal reasons. The updated Terms will show their effective date. If you keep using the Service after that date, you accept the updated Terms to the extent the law allows. If a change adds a new kind of information we collect, we will ask for your permission in the app first. Continued use is not permission for new sensitive information. If you do not agree, you can stop using the Service, cancel your subscription, and delete your account.

14. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." TruthWise does not warrant that any AI output will be correct, complete, or suitable for your situation. TruthWise also does not promise that speech-to-text will correctly capture what you say, that the AI voice will pronounce words correctly or use the tone you expect, or that audio features will work on every device, in every location, or with every accessory. AI personas and AI voices in the Service are not people and may say things that are wrong or unhelpful.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRUTHWISE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

TruthWise does not warrant that any AI output will be correct, complete, safe, helpful, or appropriate for you; that a safety feature will identify every serious concern; that the Service will be available at all times; or that local data will never be lost, accessed, or corrupted.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRUTHWISE AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRUTHWISE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO TRUTHWISE FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) US$100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer-protection law.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request deletion of an account through the in-app Settings flow or the TruthWise account-deletion page, subject to the Privacy Policy and any legal or technical retention obligations. You must separately cancel any Store subscription.

We may suspend or end your access as described in these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, limitation-of-liability, and dispute-related provisions, will survive to the extent permitted by law.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your state of residence gives you consumer rights that cannot be waived. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

19. Apple App Store Terms

This section applies if you downloaded the TruthWise app from the Apple App Store. If this section conflicts with the rest of these Terms, this section controls for the iPhone app.

Apple is not a party. These Terms are between you and Clear Voice Communications LLC only, not Apple Inc. ("Apple"). TruthWise, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
License. Your license to use the app is limited to a non-transferable license to use it on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may also be accessed by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing, where enabled.
Maintenance and support. TruthWise alone is responsible for any maintenance and support of the app, as stated in these Terms or required by law. Apple has no obligation at all to provide maintenance or support for the app.
Warranty. TruthWise is responsible for any product warranty, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation at all for the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses from a failure to conform to a warranty are TruthWise's responsibility, to the extent not disclaimed in these Terms.
Product claims. TruthWise, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including (a) product-liability claims; (b) any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (c) claims arising under consumer-protection, privacy, or similar laws.
Intellectual-property claims. If a third party claims that the app or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual-property rights, TruthWise, not Apple, is solely responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging the claim.
Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that (a) you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that the U.S. Government has designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and (b) you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with all applicable U.S. export-control and sanctions laws.
Developer contact. Questions, complaints, or claims about the app go to Clear Voice Communications LLC, 5900 Balcones Dr Ste 100, Austin, TX 78731, support@mytruthwise.com.
Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party agreement (for example, your wireless data service agreement) when using the app.
Third-party beneficiary. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
